These snowy fairy chimneys in the remote Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness in Northwestern New Mexico are rarely seen in winter. The area can be found between Chaco Canyon and the De-Na-Zin Wilderness. The geology can be described as multi-colored badlands with sandstone formations, petrified wood, and dinosaur bones.
